Has anyone noticed a bizarre little active region in the high latitude north polar region? It's fairly small but the location struck me as weird considering we're near solar maximum. Latest SDO images: [ link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] [ link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] :ARbizaare: I really have no clue what it is. It appears to be only exposing half of the whole whatever it is ... But then again looks may be deceiving  Cesium was perplexed by this also,seems strange for any energy signature in that area this late in the game,well its just par for the course ... everythings weird these days.lol How long has it been glowing like that Hugh?
