Still on the Protons,the South-West Prominence/Filament eruption did put out a fair bit of energy,here is the super-hot passband 94 Angstroms [ link to sdodata.oma.be] I'm thinking they could very well be related to that event. I can't remember where Earths' footpoint tether is on the disk,that info would help alot!
