WOW, why is the Sun so quiet lately. Who would've imagined that December 2012 would be the lowest solar output of the year? I can only find three flares bigger than C2 the entire month so far. This lull is getting too monotonous. Now even the filament eruptions are getting scarce. [ link to www.lmsal.com] Maybe 1635 will give us a much-needed wake-up call.
