December 30, 2012 – SPACE – SOLAR CYCLE UPDATE: 2013 is only days away, and according to most forecasters, Solar Max should be approaching as well. But is it? Barely-increasing sunspot counts and anemic solar activity suggest an interesting possibility: Perhaps Solar Max is already here

Quoting: NiNzrez If the solar max is allready here, we should expect more low activity?
Quoting: Luisport its not here yet
see the 3mns from today Luis!!!
Quoting: Cosmogenesis12 its a bit to hard to tell just yet
here is the last update of the Solar Polar Fields
Updated last on Nov 18, 2012

we can see that on Nov 18th we were very close to the magnetic reversal of the polar fields
one thing we do know is this solar cycle is very unpredictable
will it peek again? or are we on a very unpredicted downward slope in the cycle?
only time will tell
the last M flare (or higher) that we have had was on Nov 28th
over a month ago
M2.2 Flare on 11/28/2012 @ 21:28 UTC - Sunspot 1620
that is an awfull long time for there to be no M/X flares when the polar fields are this close to reversing
Edit: to add one more updated chart
