well, we have 1652 that is now BGD -Region 1652 (N20E11) is currently magnetically classified as a Beta-Gamma-Delta group and 1654 that most of us agree is a BGD, but NOAA says they still need more data to class it "SDO magnetogram and intensitygram imagery suggest magnetic complexity emerging in the intermediate spots of this region but more data is needed to be able to ascertain the severity of these changes [ link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] that makes 2 BGD spots, both earth facing, and both in close proximity to eavch other 1652 and 1654 both show signs of growth, neither show signs of decay Quoting: NiNzrez Thanks for your opinion on this - I know there was some thought earlier from somebody else that 1654 could be decaying. I'm of the opinion that it's just going through a process and becoming more complex (perhaps giving a slight illusion on the magnetogram that it is decaying).
