More from the Commerce Dept.- Geospace.24 hr Summary... The geomagnetic field reached active levels in response to a co-rotating interaction region and a coronal hole high speed stream. High latitude stations reported major storm conditions. [ link to www.swpc.noaa.gov] If ya check this 27-Day rotation plot, you'll notice that this is a recurring CH. On the last 2 rotations there's a corresponding jump in SW speed and mag-field fraggle-izzum. If cycles repeat we may see another disturbance around Feb 9th or thereabouts. [ link to translate.google.de] Quoting: Hugh M Eye Thank Hugh for that. Do you know how many rotations a CH has to make before being classed 'Recurring'? I'm not too surprised at the High Latitudes reporting Major Conditions. I think I should read those NOAA 'Products' more often, there are some decent tit-bits worth entering into the computational device attached to our Cervical Vertebrae in considerations. Thank Hugh again,Sol'Man
