SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

Makes you wonder what really happened to mars. I'm thinking a mega CME beyond comprehension hit it and stripped the atmosphere. Then the scarring followed and perhaps continues today. I bet millions of years from now (permitting the sun doesn't go premature red giant on us) Mars will regain its former glory and life will start a new.

Something catastrophic appears to have happened there for sure.

I wonder if perhaps Mars used to have a large Satellite body similar to our Moon that upped and left leaving Mars forever out of kilter...perhaps our Moon used to belong to Mars?

The explosion led to the deaths of all seven Challenger crew members. The spacecraft disintegrated over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of central Florida at 11:38 EST (16:38 UTC).

Two Coronal Holes coming [link to sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov] I can almost make out Big Bird in the Eastern most CH with the fainter lower features.
