But that is not all. We are also currently experiencing a surprisingly long period with very low sunspot activity. That is associated in the earth’s history with even lower, colder temperatures. The pattern was seen during a period known as the Dalton Minimum from 1790 to 1830, which saw temperature readings decline by 2 degrees in a 20 year period, and the noted Year Without A Summer in 1816 (which may have had other contributing short term causes). Yes, I saw this was published on the 3rd, so I posted it as co-oberation, and as you know it takes me a while to buy into any theory . Angel, according to the article, yes the the temps are up, as we have been riding very high sun spot activity level for many years now .... our current cycle would seem to indicate that ride may be over Highlighted - Rightfully so 66. Since I posted some of the data I have noticed myself that others have come to a similar conclusion...though talk of this being akin to the Dalton Minimum has been discussed since 2010 but only recently has this again been taken notice of due to the obvious lull and the plots of Mean Field Intensities compared to previous Cycles and their comparison to the Cycles preceding the Dalton Minimum and what this may imply. I have to go out in a bit so excuse me if my comments appear a bit rushed Luv to ya'.
