SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)

Wow, I've been waiting and wondering what happened to old 1678's trailing spots. I couldn't believe it just withered away completely and left that big alpha eyeball spot alone. Well don't look now but it seems to be still huge and just coming over the limb now. So now I'm astounded that there's a 30+ degree gap between them! What the hell happened on the backside? It's like they're repelling each other. Next we'll see how NOAA responds once we get a better look-see at the magnetograms. It's almost impossible to see, but it's just cracking the limb-plane now.

In the 171a images and other wavelengths the trailing region looks much more hot and active. I have a feeling this spot isn't quite finished acting up yet.

Remember when 1678 formed?

Did 1678 not form just below and behind it and the leading spot above is old 1671 with trailing 1678!?

Or did 1671 die?

This has been befuddling me a little Today in between other tasks,can you help steer me SolStar2Hugh,please?

Here is a shot of something coming up from the bottom of the picture by the date stamp. Its gotten quite large since last night. Anyone have a clue?

Please, does anyone have a link on how to understand this graph?? I understand 'red' is not good, lol.... guess I'm too stoopid to even navigate that site, but I can't find explanations.....
