I know....we may be seeing more CMEs in progress. AR1698 may be ejecting plasma along with the flaring and there's also a large chunk of filament loose in the NW ready to come undone.

Your're very observant, NINz, as I was seeing the same instability in the magnetic configuration of 1698; almost has a second south polarity in front of it and another trailing.
