Oi!

[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

Why is that occurring?

Eclipses don't do that do they?

Wtf is it?

what about that are you still trying to figure out?

Could be sector boundary crossing or a eclipse - I need to do some hunting.

It shouldn't dive like that from a tiny CHS.
 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

we see it dive like that many times when a large CME hits. the sharp dive we see on the magnetometer and electron flux is from a sharp rapid compression of earths magnetosphere caused by the arrival of solar particles, such as in a CME

like here
[link to sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu]
The rapid, near instantaneous compression of the magnetopause was detected by magnetometers on the GOES satellites
here is the link on that one

looking on Spaceweather for the day, we see this report
"GEOMAGNETIC STORM ALERT: A geomagnetic storm is in progress in the wake of a double CME impact on June 16th. The hit, which strongly compressed Earth's magnetic field, lit up both poles with bright auroras. Stephen Voss sends this photo from Southland, New Zealand:"

Mercury.

You should be worrying about our Fields if this isn't due to Eclipse Br0!
 Quoting: Spittin'Cesium

Mercury does acrobatics ?

[link to iswa.gsfc.nasa.gov] and has like a 30 day orbit it seems now.
 Quoting: Da fuq

your looking at Mercury from ONE view on ONE stereo imager
mercury moves kinda fast due to its short orbit
so yes, it will move across the view of ONE of the stereo imagers quite fast
do some searching at past views of mercury on stereo hun
if it was something else, we would ALL be questioning it
but we see it quite often

Edit: for typos :/ sorry

Re: SOLAR WATCH * Huge X8.2 Flare Sept. 10, 2017! (Updated Daily)
.Forecast...
Solar wind speeds are expected to be slightly enhanced above normal
levels on days 1 and 2 (20 and 21 Mar) as a negative-polarity and then
positive-polarity coronal hole high-speed streams (CH HSS) become
geoeffective.
Solar wind speeds are expected to fluctuate between
400-500 km/s during this period. An increase in both solar wind speed
and total IMF is likely late on day 2 (21 Mar) as possible CME effects
are expected from the arrival of both 17 Mar filament eruptions.

Slightly elevated solar wind parameters are likely on day 3 (22 Mar) as
CME effects wane.
[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

so, it is from the coronal hole winds, the switching of polaritys AND from the CME
but they are also saying 2 CMEs expected

If this is not just the CH Arrival but CME as well,is the CME not a little early,a little-little?

The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels for
days 1 and 2 (20-21 Mar) as CH HSS effects are observed. Late on day 2
(21 Mar), forecasted CME effects from the 17 March filament eruptions
are expected to increase geomagnetic activity to quiet to active levels.
On day 3, (22 Mar), expect quiet to unsettled conditions as CME effects
begin to wane

I freaked for a moment when I saw only one registered reading, and one so steep in decline, lol hf

sure is
if there is a larger quake in that area that is at the 10km deep like all the others have been today
the east coast had better duck n cover

A nice triplet of CMEs [link to stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov] one can be seen whilst the others look a little less, erm, visible - but there was a little firing off I saw on EUVI earlier : )

i have been waiting for this region to rotate back our direction this week

scroll from the bottom UP and look how that whole CH area has vanished as that area rotated toward earth

Yes,no doubting that!

That CH has very much Fizzled out hey!?

Thanks for pointing that out,my eyeballs haven't been on the CHs as much recently.

I thought the 10Km was a default depth assigned to EQs' before it is determined/known?

watch those CH! they tell the bigger story of the entire magnetic field within the sun
so much research done on the coronal holes and the magnetic fields of the sun in solar max
i should have spent time long ago to put together something easier to read about it all
cause its enough to make anyone go cross eyed :/

if it has not been reviewed sometimes, yes
but look at the older ones for today from same area
[link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

all already reviewed

Location Uncertainty horizontal +/- 19.5 km (12.1 miles); depth +/- 2.9 km (1.8 miles)

I am cool for that kind of data NiNz,no worry bout' moi!

I watch the CHs' to track the Suns relative Polarities as they wonder about the beast, seen some pretty interesting things happen in the last 2 Years or whatever it is...is it 3 Years!?

Fuck knows.

good good ^^
thats the main reason i found the vanishing of that coronal hole over a 4 day period SO interesting
makes me wonder what bigger stuff is going on within that sun right now
we shall see over the next few days if it is anything important or not
