Solar Activity

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity was at low levels. Region 1718 (N22E33) produced the
largest event of the period, a C1 flare, at 06/1142 UTC. Regions 1713
(N10W33)and 1718, classified as D-type spot groups with beta-gamma
magnetic characteristics, both showed a growth trend over the past 24
hours. Region 1719 (N08E66) showed slight growth in its trailer spots,

and was classified as a Cso-type spot group with beta magnetic
characteristics. The other regions on the disk were either stable or
decaying. No Earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) were
observed.

The Sunspot Number jumped to 146 today! Any talk of Grand Minimums should be scotched until we have at least a few weeks of SS#=0, LOL.
