I'll get right on it after my morning bike ride. This huge, intimidating spot facing Earth has been a huge let-down thus far. And good morning, sol' patrol! I was going to say the same thing! time to get that dance going!! I pop on to see this big sunspot directly earth facing today with good chances of a X flare ohh what timing ^^ BIG SUNSPOT FACES EARTH: Colossal sunspot AR1785 is now directly facing Earth. The active region has a 'beta-gamma-delta' magnetic field that harbors energy for X-class flares, yet so far the sunspot has been mostly quiet. Could it be the calm before the storm?
