......The comet didn't even get near the solar surface before vaporizing[/.....

yes but did the comet pass a magnetic/electric barrier of sorts, because these sun grazers seem to set off a cme as they approach the suns outer corona/outermost atmosphere, but the ejection is allays whilst the comet or space body is still physically, quite far away ,could they be snapping solar field lines or reversing thier polarity to cause a cme?

This particular CME originated on the opposite side of the sun from an earlier flare/eruption. It's simply an optical illusion in this case. Other times we've seen CMEs appear to shoot out towards the approaching comet. I believe those cases deserve closer study as do other 'Electric Sun' theories.

the sun is a 3 dimensional object and so is the field around it,the cameras are 2d Hugh..what i was saying was do these comets cause a reaction with the suns Field as they approach trigering energy to travel down field lines to the solar surface,it does not mater where the ejection was directed hugh thats 2d thinking

In general, I don't think anyone knows for sure. These topics are being debated and investigated by folks much more knowledgeable than I. Maybe some do and some don't. This particular Kreutz comet was very tiny and very far away; and I see no mechanism for it to cause an enormous CME on the farside.

Unless you have an already mingling polarity where the littlest electric counterflow produces a big result. Some of the smallest charges can override a circuit. Its very uncanny?
