Strange signature seen in Ace solar wind in the past 30 mins. Not a typical CME sudden impulse, but something's happening. Why did the Temp. readings fall down? Anyway, the Bz went south so maybe we'll see some geomagnetic activity after all.

This year it seems that 4 out of 5 Earth-directed CMEs never arrive or have super-minimal effects on the magnetosphere. Not long ago we'd see a G2 or G3 storm from a 'glancing blow' CME....nowadays nothing much happens. Boredom may be the new solar doom, haha.
