NOAA Sol Activity .24 hr Summary...

Solar activity was low. The largest solar event of the period was a
C7/Sf flare with an associated Type II radio sweep (estimated shock
velocity 946 km/s) from Region 1967 (S14E55, Fkc/beta-gamma-delta) at
29/0431 UTC. Region 1967 showed signs of slight growth and produced
multiple C-class flares during the reporting period including another
(long-duration) C7 at 29/1531 UTC. Region 1968 (N09E54, Eao/beta) was
responsible for a C4/Sf flare at 29/0313 UTC. The remaining three
sunspot groups were stable and unremarkable. There were no
Earth-directed coronal mass ejections detected.

In 2014 SDO will see three lunar transits, including the one on January 30. That one will be a long one, lasting almost 2.5 hours. Here is a video that shows how the long transit will look.

Hi everybody, in image below I'm enclosing in circle two delta type configuration that showing AR1967, this for that people learn to identify it.

A delta configuration is when a sunspot is located in the penumbra of another that has opposite polarity.

M flare 2.1

The current flare seems a little odd. I'm not used to see them start leveling out in the M range?

Okay, now it looks normal again. o.O Can't wait to see what else 1967 has in store for us!

What happened was that there were 2 or more minor flares, so it took to lower the level
