Salem witches try 'magical intervention' for Charlie Sheen

In an attempt to help "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen, members of Salem's witch and warlock community held a "magical intervention" for the actor.

The idea came up when Sheen offended members of Salem's Coven of the Raven Moon by referring to himself as a "Vatican assassin warlock" during a radio interview last week. Sheen has been vocal with the press lately, mainly over the issue of his lifestyle and his cancelled show.


According to Christian Day, a practicing warlock in Salem, Sheen's use of the term associates warlocks with violence and negativity.

"[Warlock] meant a person summoning the spirits of the dead for wisdom," Day said in a telephone interview. "It's a beautiful, positive word."
