PS: It really is more convenient, I personally don't remember when was the last time I payed with physical cash. I always use my debit card, I don't have a credit card and don't want one. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1273315...black markets would fail...black markets Rule the U.S. How will people buy drugs? How will people buy weapons? etc, etc. It's true, the "black market" does bring in a lot of revenue. How will government officials do business? They are almost all corrupted. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1273315...black markets would fail...black markets Rule the U.S. You could use gold and silver coins for all black markets. In general I always prefer to use cash, I hate it when the government or cooperations can see what I spent my money for. |

Stock up now!!!! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 923589This is SERIOUS, but this always happens here in GLP. We get idiots who have nothing important to say. I wonder what you will do when you have to take an RFID or SmartMoney Card in order to buy anything and everything you need. "Well, he bought this, this and that on this date" "Okay, we can bring him in for interrogation and use this as the excuse" "He is buying too much ammunition, and he got an extra gun" "Oh, he got some condoms today, we should bring in the nano-spy-bots" I ask for, not at once no government, but at once a better government, said by Henry David Thoreau. |

It works great in Canada and Australia. Don't be so tied to paper. The coins are great for a few reasons. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1015690I don't want to carry coins around, but I will gladly carry a card with my money, like I do now. I have a debit card which I basically use for everything. I still want the option to have my cash, because I do sometimes use it to buy certain things that can't be bought with a card. I ask for, not at once no government, but at once a better government, said by Henry David Thoreau. |

TPTB can track every single purchase you make, they can automatically remove funds for traffic tickets, student loans, taxes, etc... or if you are being accused of something they can cut you off financially. Dumb, dumb, dumb if we go to a card based system. "Only the madman is absolutely sure." - R.A.W. |

I was watching the news this morning and on the ticker at the bottom of the screen I noticed something about cotton prices going up so it's going to cost more to produce paper currency in U.S.. Why not just go the extra mile and use RFID chips? You bought it hook, line, and sinker OP. You're doing exactly as you were supposed to do. |

Minting our own coins would create an interest-free curency that would collapse the FED. It's more of a step toward financial sovereignty than it is toward a "cashless society" Last Edited by C74R1TY-44 on 03/08/2011 01:35 PM The storm is closing in to begin again from the beginning. Never sitting through my waking life oblivious. The ignorance running rampant through the city is indicative of something worse; this picture isn't pretty. |

This then would shut the Fed Res out of this area of the market. Very interesting indeed especially if they decide to mint a $5 coin next. |
