New to GLP and I have to say it's a blast so far! Anyhow, this is to those of you that have a lot of experience with telescopes

I got my very first telescope about a month ago. I got an iOptron SmartStar G R80 GoTo GPS Refractor Telescope. I've used it almost every night since I got it. It has a GPS/Handheld controler blah blah blah. Anyhow, I set it up tonight and I selected the Moon and pushed enter. Scope starts to turn and goes the opposite direction of the moon. So I entered the Moon again and it didn't move. I re-parked the scope and it did it again...ended up on the opposite side of where the moon was. I punched in Orion and it went directly to it. Has anyone ever encountered something like that?
