Most of them are payed for by loans that will probably never be payed back when you take into account compounding interest. I have an unsettling feeling liberal arts degrees are a joke and you have almost no chance to find a career that pays well enough to justify the cost of the degree nowadays in America. I could be wrong because I've never "earned" a "higher education" credit, but I have a feeling this is how it is and we will see riots because of it here in the USA.
