Message Subject "the greater portion of Japan must go into the sea" Cayce Prediction

I think Cayce was really good and was accurate on a lot of stuff although maybe not everything. He seems to have been spot on with what is going on now. I have a BIG question though...

Here Cayce says: "Watch New York, Connecticut and the like. Many portions of the east coast will be disturbed, as well as many portions of the west coast, as well as the central portion of the United States. Los Angeles, San Francisco, most of all these will be among those that will be destroyed before New York, or New York City itself, will in the main disappear. This will be another generation though, here; while the southern portions of Carolina, Georgia, these will disappear. This will be much sooner. The waters of the Great Lakes will empty into the Gulf of Mexico."

Looking at the bold part in the context it is used how do you interperate that? To me it almost sounds like he is saying that the aformentioned events would occure a generation after the latter part of the prediction that discusses SC and GA. Am I interpreting this incorrectly? Anyone else care to speculate how it was ment to be read?

I'll speculate :

Cayce made these predictions 70 years ago. Future events are NOT written in stone, as humans have some measure of individual choice which can greatly effect outcomes.

Cayce, or rather, his guides, would have predicted based on events at the time and if trends A, B, and C continued, then X will happen.

God knows where we are now...
