This wasnt the "Doom" i was hoping for really, Radiation poisioning is a horrible way to go and causes lots of pain before you die from exposure. Shit and here i am thinking Planet X or a fuckin CME was going to do us in? well still could but im leaning more to being a fuckin glow stick in a little bit.

If either of those N plants melts down, in order to die from radiation poisoning in the US, you'd practically have to move outside full time, spend all of your time naked and especially, you'd have to stick your tongue out to collect every drop of rain that falls for the next three months.

However, for those in Japan, Korea, parts of Russia and possibly in remote areas of Alaska and some mid-Pacific islands, the situation could be far different.

I would not want to be anywhere in the Northern half of Japan right now, for instance.

The west coast is fuct for eons if this is true. Nuke bomb radioactive fallout has a 1/2 life of hours to days. This makes it relatively safe to go outdoors after a month or so. This is totally different, we are talking halflifes that are measured in decades to centuries.
