I think that reactor containmet.. structure/building has to be damadged if not destroyed. The Japenese Government has a history of distorting/hiding pertanant facts in past disasters. This event is @ 3mile island levels already.If that steam is infact coming into contact with the core , than it is a Chernobyl level event.
With that in mind, there are 2 more reactors on site with simular issues. This has the potential of bringing about the end of our way of life. I Hope I'm wrong.
Perspective is everything.
