The Earth's axis has shifted!
Friday's magnitude 8.9 earthquake in Japan shifted Earth on its axis and shortened the length of a day by a hair. In the future, scientists said, it will provide an unusually precise view of how Earth is deformed during massive earthquakes at sites where one plate is sliding under another, including the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

And we are just going to act like this is an eveyday thing. Wake up!!! THIS IS NOT NORMAL!
This happened when Haiti shook the world. We are in a pole shift right now and still the world does not listen or see. WTF!

Very interesting pic you linked to Medic.
Is this for real?
I've never seen the change in the tropics of Capricorn and Cancer.. If your pic is accurate, no wonder our weather is getting warmer.

I believe it is. in Missouri we usually had small hail pea size to maybe quarter for years. last year after all the earthquakes..... the standard size has been golfball to baseball. I believe the earthquakes have shifted our weather here to what the texas pan handle / Oklahoma / Kansas weather has always been.

What I'm struggling to understand with that pic is that if the tropic of cancer moved that far north, then Europe should have had the same warm weather this past winter, that we had here in Canada, but that was not the case. Europe was colder than normal while we were warmer than normal... It's almost as though Europe moved closer to the North and we moved closer to the equater. Which isn't reflected with the tropic lines having moved up/down.. I would have expected to see them differently placed.

I'm starting to believe it. Last year about this time it was warming up. Were still frost in the morns. This state might have a bad crop season if we dont start warming up...and i mean soon!

Tanarus, what state do you live in? We, here in Manitoba are still getting what we would call a light frost over about 50% or less, of the nights in the last month or so. The trees are budding here, which is really early for us. In the past, it was not unusual to have 2 or 3 feet of snow, still on the ground at this time of year .. we got a total of about 5 or 6 inches all winter this year.. the ground has been bare for about 4 to 6 weeks now, depending on where in the Southern half of Manitoba. It's so dry here, there are grass fires happening in spots throughout the southern part of the province.

I have a feeling there are many things at play here that have affected the world's weather so strongly this past winter. I saw a documentary that talked about all the planets in our solar system currently having simultanious global warming conditions.
Another documentary talked about the floor of the ocean being 2 degrees celcius warmer than it was 10 years ago.. that is a big change.
Add the nuclear disaster, cem trailing, volcanoes and earth quakes, and storms strengthening.. well I think you get the picture.. so many questions on all fronts, with so few answers.
Mother Earth, will, in the end, do what she needs to do to survive, and we had better hang on tight, because, I think we are in for a wild ride in the coming years.

Seriously? People actually believe this rubbish?

With a 26 degree change, the "arctic circle" would now be at about 40 degrees north, which means all of Canada, most of the US, the UK, a lot of Europe, Russia, New Zealand, most of Argentina, parts of Australia (and a lot more) would have 24 hours of daylight in summer, and 24 hours of night in the winter.

I guess the person making this idiocy up didn't think things through very carefully before putting it up on the net...

The earth's a pretty big thing, you want people to wake up and do just what? Nothing can be done. There is no fix. What do you propose for a fix? Why worry, the earth will end someday, somehow and it is out of our hands to control it.

I agree and have thought the same. Maybe it has something to do with the tilt of the earth and position of the sun this past winter? I'm no scientist but I think someone here could possibly have an answer that makes sense?

Thats just it, None of this makes sense. Its never happened to us before in our life times for a comparison.

Heres more proof of the axis shift from NASA.

where it says...

The quake also shifted the position of the Earth's "figure" axis (which is different from the planet's north-south axis). This shift in Earth's figure axis will cause Earth to wobble a bit differently as it rotates, but it won't cause a shift of the Earth's axis in space -- only external forces such as the gravitational attraction of the sun, moon and planets could do that.

You dont have to believe it..... however with the sun rising and setting in different places than years past, the different weather patterns Etc. then we must look for the answers. There is also a time lapse video from I believe the national weather service showing the planet shifting, from one of the satelites that watches cloud cover and water vapor. Dont remember the link i'll have to find it.

Do you understand any of what you're posting?

The first link gives actual measured figures, gives the change in the rotational axis, if you can be bothered to work it out, of about 3.5 milliarcseconds. That's 3.5 thousands of a sixtieth of a sixtieth of a degree!!

The second one is talking about a change of 26 degrees, a factor of roughly 27 million times greater. I guess you don't understand the scales used to measure angles, or just how big the earth is.

And as I've already pointed out, if the axis changed that much, most of the US, Canada, Europe, Russia etc. etc. would have had 24 hours of night during the winter. Guess what - they didn't.

Except the sun isn't rising and setting out of place. I hope you realise it rises and sets in a different place every day, and the length of the day changes with the seasons, because it really sounds like you don't.

And weather is weather. It will always be changing, with some years colder, some hotter, some drier, some wetter. Look around the planet, and not just in your own back yard, and you'll see that while some places had a mild winter, others had it colder than average.

Astronomers all over the world would notice in an instant if the earth's axis changed by even a degree. You just have no conception of what effects a change like that would have...

Of course i know it sets slightly different every day. The changes here in the U.S. are completely different from where they should be for this or that particular day of the month of the year. If it usualy set at a certain angle or point, it has been way off the " Normal Mark"
