West Africa or the conditions by which they fell to Western Europe and were intentionally driven backward in time and blotted from history. It is important to know however that you will never truly understand your own European History fro the Dark ages through the renaissance to now without learning about the Moors,Almoravids,Mande,and Ghanian Kings of West Africa.

I know for a fact that European history feels very murky and incomplete to most people and they have no idea why.

As for a written language, Cushitesof EastAfrica had two types of written language,onw was script and the other was Hieroglyph.

West Africa has ha written language sporadically but mainly used griot who were humans who held libraries of information on every subject which made sense since life was more valued back then meaning a building holding books could burn down but a human being was likely to live to a hundred and pass own their knowledge of medicine,agriculture or history to thousands of students who would also memorize massive volumes of data.

When The West Africans peacefully converted to Islam the did practice written Arabic which is also a Black language from and script from "Arabia" but they still kept griot and still do who memorize and can recite the entire Koran word for word from memory.
