Re: Has anyone tried Diatomaceous Earth?
I started taking Food Grade DE 4 days ago. I had very high expectations, but so far not so good. I'm wondering if others have felt awful afterwards? I am experiencing aches all over and the occasional headache like I'm coming down with something; which I may be.

Anyone who has been there please comment on your experience the first few days.

Thanks

I'll agree, it probably is a detoxing reaction. I had been contemplating buying some DE for awhile, and then when I saw this thread, I went ahead and did it. It has since arrived, and the first day I took it twice, once in the morning and once before bed...that was TOO MUCH to start (anxious and trying to rush things). I had a headache, my stomach hurt, and my neck and shoulder muscles felt achy and swollen. I took a break for a couple of days, and started again, this time with one heaping teaspoon per day in some apple juice. I have now been doing this for several days and so far, so good...no more reactions.

I have suffered from mercury poisoning from my dental fillings, and have had them removed and detoxed, and am so much better now...but I still have some of the symptoms of MS, which are usually one in the same as the symptoms of heavy metal poisoning. I have severe numbness and tingling in my hands/arms & feet/legs. I don't want to speak too soon, but I'd like to say it's a tiny bit better already, just after a few days. Now that I am feeling content with this, I think I will go ahead and try it twice a day again, and see how it works out. Please keep this thread updated, I am so interested in how everyone is doing with this.

You should check out my blog about my healing process. I've has MS for 17 years. [link to overcomingms.wordpress.com]

apparently head lice are beneficial for someone with MS due to immuno and circulatory systems. It's creepy but it is a symbiotic relationship a win-win

I've been taking Red Desert Clay for about 3 weeks now. It's also negatively charged. My digestion is improving and my skin and hair are looking so much better.
[link to www.i-amperfectlyhealthy.com]

Shirley's Wellness Cafe is also a good place to find more info on Red Desert Clay. just type it into the search.

I have some health issues and I just began taking Marine/Ocean Plasma 5 days ago. It's too soon to say much about it, but I have noticed an increase in energy so far.
Here are a couple of links for anyone interested in learning more about or ordering Marine/Ocean Plasma.

Sorry for the graphic nature of post but it's important.

I passed a bunch of parasites this morning, there was blood in my stool and things that look irregular, awful smell but I feel amazing every day. so the parasites were killed probably when I started taking DE 2X/day.

I can see veins in my feet, it's been a while

use common sense if it makes u worse, stop we're all different
 Quoting: Krist

Thank you for for using the same suggestion I did, common sense!
My DE hasn't arrived yet, but when it does, I will start small with myself and my dogs, and go from there.

To the poster that said we NEED certain parasites. I don't know HOW DE kills the bad, but not the good, any more than it does that with MMS. If in doubt, you can take probiotics, even Kefir, which also is natural, both of them are! Kefir is wonderful, especially for those that have an intolerance to milk.

To the poster that says anyone that disagrees is attacked, I disagree. It is just bouncing back opinions. This whole thread is about people's experiences with DE. If someone thinks it is unsafe, show the scientific proof to enlighten us. Otherwise, by doing your own research online or at a library, you may find this is a product that can be another tool to bringing health to your body, removing that, that causes disease in the first place. Ever heard of Hulda Clark? She is well known, and taught that ALL disease begins in the colon. Take the time to research this and you will come away much more aware of a greater truth as to what causes or caused these diseases, and give you hope for a better quality life.

Re: Has anyone tried Diatomaceous Earth?
A question with those with MS or similar diseases. Have any of you experienced this? When your symptoms of MS started, do you remember the first physical symptoms?

I remember my right baby finger went suddenly numb. Within days, the ring finger next to it. Then within weeks, the same things happened on my left hand. This was the beginning for me,and advanced to my torso, and legs. Has anyone else experienced this particular symptom??

Re: Has anyone tried Diatomaceous Earth?
It's been since thursday with the DE... and i have awful pain in my back and arms off and on. It's a shooting pain. My head has started to hurt, getting a headache... bending over hurts my head really bad. Going to the toilet #2 causes head to hurt also.
So.. i've tried a bit of this Thursday - Monday and if this is what's causing me to feel so horrible I'm really disappointed. On the other hand, maybe if I wake up tomorrow feeling well, I'll be ready to try it again at a really really small dose.
I just can't imagine feeling so poor for all these days and calling it a detox. My head also feels full and kinda cloudy and i have less energy. No fever.
I'll be back in a day or so and let all know if it goes away. Thnx for feedback.

A very dear lady that I used to work with came down with MS a few years ago. It came on very suddenly, she was fine one day then a few days later she was numb from the shoulders down. Right before she got sick she went on a "cleaning spree" with lysol in the apartment she had rented out where the former tenants failed to clean the bathroom leaving it covered in black mold. She was always meticulously clean to start with but the way she described having to clean up this apartment I couldn't help but wonder if her MS could have been initiated by over using the cleaners. Any thoughts on that with your own experience? She had to quit work because of her MS but I'm going to look her up and recommend she try the DE. Thanks for your thoughts.

Your welcome, and thanks to both you and Krist for your replies. To this day, I still believe "something' brought it on. I had so many tests done, including a painful spinal tap :(, had a white lesion on my brain. For some reason they originally thought this was MS then changed the diagnosis to " neuropathy", which seems to me a catch-all. Same as fibromyalgia which I have, but I am not suffering very much with that like I was several years ago so far as the known muscle pain, THANK GOD! Not sure why either.

I believe the Fibro came on first, after dealing with a 'flu' for about three months. Possibly within a year of being diagnosed with F, I was driving home from a long trip and have always wondered if it came from being stressed in the neck or something, causing a pinched nerve. Then again, I've had more than my share of head injuries, which could have caused this. I don't believe the doctors really know either :(.

Yes I've been exposed a couple of times to chemical sprays, that I knew were affecting me. But I've always wondered WHY my fingers went numb like they did, one at a time, baby finger, ring finger, then the OTHER hand. Eventually both my hands are affected, most of my body really, with numbness, burning sensations, achy joints.
I pay attention to what people say so far as products that are natural that may help our bodies, and I guess due to my first incorrect diagnosis of MS I still pay attention. I do believe it all is related.

gringoperdido, I am sorry you are feeling so bad. You never said how much of the DE you are taking? Maybe if you stop it for a few days, then resume very slowly, like 1/2 tsp only, once a day for at least a week? Have you ever been through a detox, or a fast? If not, that might be why you are feeling so bad. Please check out this link, it will give you an idea of detox symptoms, and how to deal with them. Usually it is too much, too fast!

Parasites and worms are not a problem in humans with a healthy diet. We do not eat garbage.

Even animals are not given DE by vets.

Eat healthy and the parasites eliminate naturally. Eating lots of supposed anti parasite compounds are going to cause more problems than you currently have.

The same goes for chelation. Change of diet and fasting works better than chelation. Berries and other superfoods like spirulina and chlorella are the best and safest chelators.

Saw a video today of a huge large intestine removed from a man after it plugged up...as big as my leg and twice as long.

I disagree, also. AC, can you provide a link backing up your statements, or theories?
Check out this, many links to choose from... [link to search.avg.com]

Parasites can get in our bodies in many ways, some are even air born. People have been "cleansing" their bodies for centuries, maybe longer.

If you will read some of those links above, you will see why parasites are not ALL rid from the body, regardless of what you eat. Many people cleanse, or fast, four times a year, beginning of each season, knowing it will increase vitality in their bodies.

My DE arrived today, I took 1 tsp, not noticing any changes as yet, which is fine. But the first thing I did with it was to make a paste with DE and water, and put it on my face. Wow!
This works even better than a derma-brasive spa cloth, without tearing up the skin, I love it! I dabbed on a little bit of the "mud mixture on a mole, if I see any difference in size down the road, I will let you all know.

Thanks Krist for making this thread, it was the push I needed to order it. hf

It's known as the Herxheimer reaction. You might want to cut back on your dosage, and work your way back up slowly.

And drink LOTS of water to flush your system!!

[link to www.lauricidin.com]

The Herxheimer Reaction (die-off reaction) is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body. As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms.

This is a normal — and even healthy — reaction to the toxins that are released when large numbers of parasites, fungus, viruses, bacteria or other pathogens are being effectively killed off and the body does not eliminate the toxins quickly enough. The important thing to note is that worsening symptoms do not indicate failure of the treatment in question; in fact, usually just the opposite. The biggest problem with the Herxheimer reaction is that people stop taking the supplement or medication that is causing the reaction, and thus discontinue the very treatment that is helping to make them better. Although the experience may not make you feel particularly good, the Herxheimer Reaction is actually a sign that healing is taking place.

So.. i've tried a bit of this Thursday - Monday and if this is what's causing me to feel so horrible I'm really disappointed.

You're exactly the person that shouldn't stop. That will make you sicker. Stick it out and drink lots of distilled water. Also walk 30 minutes a day.

It's known as the Herxheimer reaction. You might want to cut back on your dosage, and work your way back up slowly.

And drink LOTS of water to flush your system!!

Good luck and keep us posted.

This thread and the research I did from it, made me decide to try it. I was able to go to a holistic center in town, and buy some.

I have been taking only 1 tsp. 3x/day, (for a whole day and a half, LOL), but had been taking Zeolite for the previous 2 1/2 weeks.

Amongst some other smaller complaints, my biggest is my tremendous lack of energy... been low energy for YEARS!! Some times are lower than others, and it makes it really difficult to get anything done, as I have to rest so frequently. I think a lot of it right now, is due to the winter "blues", but I'm just too blah too much, all the way around.

I'm perhaps slightly better today, energy-wise, but if I can improve a bit, day by day, I'll take that happily!! And it does seem like parasites could make sense, as in they can sap your nutrients and energy from you.

I plan to work up to 3 Tablespoons 3x/day over the next couple of weeks.... Going to try to be patient, LOL!! As much as I'd like to be so much more energetic by tomorrow, I also don't want to suffer a lot of the cleansing crisis (Herxheimer) either.

I agree, in that you should definitely NOT stop taking it!! Just cut way back, and slowly work upwards at a pace that is more comfortable for you. (IE. 1 level tsp only 2x/day and work upwards every 2-3 days until you get to the recommended 1 heaping TBS 2x/day) And the water will definitely help you flush the die-off from your system.

I SWEAR I passed a very small kidney stone today... not much bigger (if at all) than a grain of sand... And my kidneys HAVE been bothering me. So I take that as a really good sign, too.

Again, keep us posted!!
