Jesus did say, "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24:44). The only time frame I can think of when we believers would not be expecting Jesus to return would have to be before the tribulation.

Pre-wrath proponents say that the Seventh Trumpet blown in Rev 11:15-18 is the same last trump Paul spoke of in 1 Cor 15:52. However, they fail to take into account the fact that John wrote Revelation 40 years after Paul wrote his first epistle to the Corinthians. How could Paul refer to something that was not yet revealed?

Post-tribbers use a trumpet sounding in Joel 2:1 as evidence for a post-trib rapture on the Day of the Lord. I have three problems with Joel 2:1:

1. Joel clearly says that the purpose for blowing the trumpet is to "sound an alarm."

2. According to 1 Cor 15:52, the rapture is something that occurs in the twinkling of an eye. Joel 2:1 says the Day of the Lord is nigh at hand. In order for Joel's trumpet to be the same one in 1 Cor. there would have to be a time delay between the sounding of the trumpet and the rapture of the Church.

3. The fact that there is another trumpet being sounded in Joel 2:15 further clouds the possibility that these trumpets could have anything to do with the rapture.

All Israel surely will be saved, but WHO is Israel?

Is it not the remnant that believes in God's Son, Jesus Christ?

Who else has been Israel?

For do you not understand yet that the CHURCH has been grafted into ISRAEL and ALL believers have become the Kingdome of God?

So indeed it is true that ALL ISRAEL will be saved.
But ISRAEL is the BELIEVING REMNANT.

They will indeed be saved.

Very interestingly and accurately that you have chosen Acts 2 as described by Peter to have been fulfilled on Pentecost. Note the first 4 words of verse 17 and you will be on an entirely new road of spiritual insight.

Peter was saying that those were the prophesied 'last days'. Last days of what? What did the disciples ask Jesus to tell them about when He spoke of the temples destruction? The end of the age. Research the Greek word for 'age'. It did not mean the end of the world. It meant the end of the 'era' - the end of the Law and the Prophets who were, according to Jesus, until John (the Baptist). Jesus said He came to fulfill them and that not one 'jot/tittle' would pass until he had fulfilled them all.

The era of an earthly kingdom ended with God's divorce of Judah and the destruction of the earthly temple. He wept over Jerusalem because she was worse than Sodom and Egypt - much worse than the 10 northern tribes of the house of Israel whom He said he had come to gather the lost sheep of. The Law and the prophets (all O.T.) were fulfilled in Christ and ended with John and the coming of 'God with us'.

Those were the last days Joel and many of the other OT prophets predicted. Even John in Rev. says 'shall soon come to pass.'

Interesting also... Note the rest of Joels prophecy described in Acts as having been fulfilled

17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Is it possible that the Hebrew colloquialism used does not refer to the literal sun and moon taught by modern churches? Remember Joseph's dream. His mother and father were the sun and moon. His brothers were the stars.

Who should fall at Christ's coming? The sun (Jacob/Israel), his wife (moon) and the stars (tribes). Ie. Jesus came to make it clear that the 'chosen' are NOT of the flesh, but of the spirit.

Today, those who call themselves Jews in the flesh are specifically mentioned in the book of Rev. They are the children of this world -racist liars. Their father is the flesh (Satan) and his work they now do.

IMO the rapture is a crock of shit that is not Christian Canon but rather stems from a fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible. Give three different people that book to read and it is guaranteed you'll get three different interpretations of it. That is what has happened here.

The Day of the Lord

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”

But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

The disappearance of every born-again Christian will be the first in a long line of miracles and fulfillment of prophecy to occur in the last days. The strict fulfillment of events will be powerful evidence of who is in charge. All will know that God is in control but there will still be a great many rebellious souls who refuse to accept Jesus Christ and humbly repent. This is the dark side of Free Choice.
Many do not realize that the end of this age does not entirely revolve around the human race. The end could have occured long ago were it not for God's desire to rescue humanity from Satan and his angels. It is Satan who is manipulating events here and that is why he is referred to as "the god of this world" in 2 Corinthians 4:4 and "the prince of this world" in John 12:31 and 14:30. He rebelled long ago and it is at the conclusion of this age that Satan will be imprisoned. And his angels, as well as all men who refuse the gift of Christ's sacrifice, will finally be entirely cut off from God's love and will not be allowed to continue to sabotage His creation.
Satan is very restricted as to what course of action he may take but this will not stop him from deceiving many. In this task he is very active. In 2 Corinthians 11:14 Paul warns us that Satan masquerades as an angel of light and also remarks that it should not be surprising that his servants appear as servants of righteousness as well. One of their favorite tools is the tool of flattery. They tell us what we want to hear and subtly pervert the truth so that it conforms to our own self-centered and self-serving human philosophies. This is being done on an unprecedented scale in the powerful New Age movement today.
What follows are some quotes from members of the New Age movement who dabble in a practice called "channeling." Channeling is a process whereby you open your mind and soul through meditation and relaxation to the influence and direction of non-human beings. These beings claim to be "aliens" or "angels" or "Ascended Masters," and offer some very interesting advice and predictions concerning the future changes.
