How is 2012 supposed to happen if everyone has different time zones ?

I be axing the very same question and they always say if Australia goes down then I be running. I gets the feeling doom runs on its own clock...maybe something like UDT....universal doom time.

People were wondering about this at work today. I think the best answer is that we should go by the time zone that is now where the Mayan civilization was, or at least most of it, if the Mayans were spread out.

So you think you actually go back or forward in time when traveling through time zones That would be a great lottory scheme tho.

Time just changes according to where the sun is at, or to where the earth is facing the sun. Imagine a clock with no pointers, with the earth in the middle spinning.

The Winter Solstice is a single event for everyone, everywhere, no matter where you are located at. Only the time of the day changes, which is a convention.
