What are you talking about drivel? If there is any chaos in LA there gonna be rioting by the same groups and types of people who did it before. Those people are predispositioned to rioting and stealing and whatnot.
I dont see anything racist by that statement at all, hte OP didnt meantion any particular race, she might be talking about all the white rioters we see so often or the Japanese rioters.
God forbid you get caught in a riot in North Dakota or Tokyo - that'd be true doom. If your in a riot you want to be in Tampa or Detroit, then you'll be safe.

You are 100% right, most folks, worldwide, just want to procreate and live out their days in relative peace. However, in the presence of external pressures such as food shortages, radioisotope fallout, political uprisings, and mortal uncertainty, people always-- ALWAYS revert to kinship based ties. For hundreds of thousands of years prior to artificial kinship ties (nationalism, patriotism), one's family were the only people one could even remotely trust. In areas where indigenous people still live in relative isolation from modern civilization, it's commonplace to greet a stranger by stating your clan and forefathers so as to determine any possible kinship relation. If/When TSHTF, you can bet your bottom dollar that the artificially created kinship ties in this society will immediately dissolve.
