Great video though... interesting that this geologist sees this current situation as ripe for an earthquake.

First it hit Chile... then NZ... then Japan... now it has to ease that additional pressure on the west coast somewhere.

He was a chief geologist for 21 years for some west coast agency...

Jim Berkland is a retired geologist who worked many years for the U.S. Geological Survey. He was also the first County Geologist for Santa Clara County (in northern California) and was in that position for twenty-one years.

He has published over fifty scientific papers. He has been a popular guest on many network news programs and talk shows on the subject of earthquake prediction.

Berkland claims he has developed a method for predicting earthquakes, and on his web site and in a monthly newsletter, he lays out a detailed set of signs and precursors that he uses for his predictions. He also lists dozens of major earthquakes he claims to have predicted.

He mentioned the Oarfish - anyone know where that washed up recently? Might be a clue as to where the EQ will be centered.

The reason i think he is right because the part he talks about dead animals appearing right before a major hits. Like for example he is pointing out California and look at all the dead fish that washed up what was it last week i think?

I just hope SF doesn't get hit too hard. A lot of old buildings there. The highrises there built up to the 50's were done STILL using pre 1906 building codes. Unbelievable!
