REMEMBER CARBON-14 / Decay Rates Altered during Solar Flare - What about Uranium & Plutonium?
Remember when the scientist(s) discovered Carbon-14 decay and drastically altered it's decay rate just prior and during a Solar Flare.

It apparently makes Carbon-14 dating less accurate now at the least.

I was thinking, what if other elements are also effected like carbon-14 decay rates were. If so, Uranium and Plutonium may fluctuate in decay rates.

Being a new effect recently (also noting the Earths core reacts to shock waves differently now) our nuclear plant operators will be stumped, at first.

And if little old Carbon-14's decay rate shift can be noticed, imagine what kind of shift would happen in highly radioactive material.

It would alter the fission reaction and I doubt anyone considered this.

Is this why reactors are also shutting down in Germany and abroad?

This, if true, explains why 4 reactors are in meltdown suddenly. And now another plant is in danger.

If this theory proves to be true, then ALL nuclear reactors around the globe are at risk.

Up to the point where I have no sufficient knowledge about the elements, your hypothesis sounds awfully logic to me.
Can't think of a reason why you're wrong, and that scares me a bit OP.

From my understanding, the change of rate is very, very small. It is a very important find, because it's not supposed to change at all (constant).

You bring up a good point, but I think the ratio of change is just too insignificant for most applications...like nuclear reactors.
