GE got immunity from prosecution on the points where the Japanese decided to depart from GE recommendations. In the United States we know enough not to put the generators where they can be douched by a twenty foot wave. We also store our expended rods on stations that are isolated from the reactor core. We most certainly do not store them high in the air in the superstructure of a flimsy building. What kind of insanity is that? 1st Place in Novel Sales for 6 yrs! [link to www.mobipocket.com] |

Quoting: JoeNeubarthnot only them! all are, compared to germany! German engineers could not even design a nuclear bomb in WWII. How could those fugging idiots ever hope to win the war when they were all losers? What dorks they were. Geez OP, now you just really lost credibility. Where the hell do you think the Vatican dumped all the Nazi German scientists and engineers so they could keep an eye on them? |

The "engineers on site" did not even know what to do to get them running again. Unbelievable stupidity. Quoting: JoeNeubarthIdiotic Japanese engineering left the expended fuel rods in the attic of the Reactor building where they could catch on fire in a crisis situation. The engineers on site did not know that they should have removed them after the other reactor buildings started exploding from the release of Steam from the overheating reactors. here is a textbook case of a shill trying to establish the concensus nukes are safe but they had an accident here because Japanese are incompetent. You will also see them infer the nips modified them so GE is off the hook. The statement they should have removed them after the accident infers they had man and material to divert from the primary task of stopping a melt down. Lets look at genuine culpability here. The base design is GE, the folks known for building with inadequate containment and failing to incorporate a boron deadman failsafe. The company known for putting profits ahead of safety, the 3 piece suits firing engineering when they said more had to be spent on containment. Lets also own the fact that "experts" in terrorism tell the operators their spent rods need to be up in a secure location and not in ponds where someone might sneak in. Those "experts" are advisors from uh gee -- was it the US? Same place the half assed reactor design came from?? Could it be? hmmmm...... Certainly the US is the most advanced in paid shills for social engineering followed by their cousins in England. Truth is a scarce commodity in the US. Speaking with a forked tongue is the business model. If I buy a Toyota and put rims and a flame paint job on it it is still a Toyota. So dont be bullshitted -these are GE reactors and I wont live near one. I have ALWAYS maintained to chain a dragon in your backyard and not have a deadman failsafe to deal with it is insanity. Worry is a misuse of the imagination. |

Maybe you should look up who constructed these plants and maybe you should get informed how many US nuclear plants are built in zones of seismic instability and tsunami danger in the US. Hmmmm San Onofre, Diablo Canyon -- omg they buy cheap land on faults!!!! Is that a business model? what do they do on the east coast. Even if and when that radiation begins to find its way to the US West Coast don't expect the truth from the sqawking heads on TV. Just look at the ONGOING situation with the GOM/BP spill. I don't think anyone on the planet is laughing about this catastrophy. Especially the engineers/designers at GE. |

These are the kinds of threads that people who haven't done anything, aren't doing anything, and never will do anything, with their lives post. To revel in such a catastrophe shows the OP to be seriously flawed. These misfortunes allow the OP to share his misery with someone else, and to anoint himself as if he had finally made something of his life, as he has done here. It is unfortunate that the OP doesn't go out and do something with his life instead of being so happy for the demise of 10's of thousands of innocent Japanese. However this misfortune is just one of endless millions.... It is what it is. Good job OP, you're a worthless piece of shit, and now because of a tragic accident there are finally some people who you can look down on and find satisfaction with your sub-par results. |
