Re: Sun looks odd in Equador
On February 8, 1971 there was a ring around the full moon here in East LA. The next morning was a 6.6 EQ.
 Quoting: Hasen Pfeffer 1253495

There was a perfect RING AROUND THE MOON here in Clearwater, FL on Monday the 14th. It was around 9:30pm and we were out side grilling food and looked up and saw it. I went on my iphone and googled "Ring around Moon" and got this link [link to home.hiwaay.net]

Apparently the folklore is that a storm would come and the number of days away the storm was would be based on the number of stars in the ring. We noticed 4.

Then last night we were out in the pool and I looked up and saw what looked like a star moving as fast as a plane would but from way too high up and no blinking lights. It looked as if a star just started to move slowly from one side of the sky to the other.

Everyone with me looked up and saw it and I told them that I thought it was a satellite but then when it disappeared in front of our eyes and a second one came from the same spot right behind it, about one minute behind. Then about 10 minutes later we saw another one in the other side of the sky going in totally different direction (originating from what looked like Orion's Belt). Not sure if there would be that many satellites visible at one time and that they'd be that close to each other but it seemed really odd. We also saw a huge shooting star about 10 minutes after all of that. Is all that normal?

Not sure if any of this is relevant to what they are seeing in Ecuador but I've never seen this in my life so it's odd to me that we saw a moon ring just the other night and someone else mentions sun rings on here.

Everyone who has clear skies tonight, keep your eyes on it. I watch the stars often and have never witnessed anything like I have this past week. It seems really active up there.

Watch this video....it's getting closer.

WOW....

a few months ago I was a naysayer but over the past week, I've been researching like crazy.

Re: Sun looks odd in Equador
we had an unusual phenomenon here in lima. a solar halo.

just ice particles in the upper atmosphere.

That's interesting...what is that orange thing to the lower right of the sun? At about 5 o'clock....looks like an orange body mostly behind the sun. Also, there is orange in the halo ring, too. Not sure that I have ever seen that in a sun dog halo before, but I am certainly not an expert on sun dogs.

There was a thread discussion about the horizon being orange at sunset, both on the west and the east, and a pilot saying that it's always orange on the horizon now. Said they all (the pilots) talked about it but didn't know what caused it. I have no idea what the thread title or topic was. Maybe someone else can remember.

Re: Sun looks odd in Equador
here is a method that is patented...
if you understand the physics of the method you can understand that something is pulsing the atmosphere causing this to occur in the situation that normally oocurs with extreme cold.pulsing through our atmosphere causing this...
c class flare today pulsing,,, well... here it is see what you think, seems simple to me...

Methods and devices for use in mass spectral analysis of samples. In particular, methods and devices for generating ions from liquid samples containing chemical species with high molecular masses. These methods and devices provide a continuous or pulsed stream of gas phase analyte ions of either positive polarity, negative polarity or both possessing either a selected fixed charge-state distribution or one that may be selectively varied with time. More specifically, ion sources with adjustable control of the charge-state distribution of the gas phase analyte ions generated are provided in which charged droplets and/or gas phase analyte ions are exposed to electrons and/or gas phase reagent ions generated by a reagent ion source to provide desired control. A corona discharge exemplifies the reagent ion source employed in charge-state distribution control. In a specific preferred ion source, a corona discharge is provided within a shielded region to minimize the deflection of gas phase analyte ions, charged droplets. The methods and devices provided herein are particularly well-suited to the analysis of polymers and biological species.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
