Quoting: ºCRAPºNormal fission reaction temperatures for a MOX Fuel Reactor is about 480°C Crisis begins and water fails to circulate. Meltdown clock begins when control rods melt out. Time: 14 minutes later Core Temp: 900°C Fuel rods begin to deform and swell in their Zircaloy cases. Time: 17 minutes later Core Temp: 1,400°C Steam and Zirconium react and create hydrogen. Around this temperature a hydrogen explosion is possible. Time: 47 minutes later Core Temp: 2,800°C Uranium Oxide melts, Corium is created and drops to the reactor vessel floor. Residual water will remain at the floor and flash boiled when the Corium drops. This flash boil can be strong enough to rupture the containment vessel accelerating the meltdown breach. At this point only several minutes to many hours, but not more then 24 hours, the Corium will burn through the last barrier and spill into the open environment. Most likely soil and initial the Chinese Syndrome Theory. This how fast a meltdown should occur. The Japanese and US governments are holding this info back. This is not voo-doo and many people understand these things. This should be on the air but is not. That tells you they are holding back. Surprised?! sources: [link to en.wikipedia.org] How do I make one of them big bullshit flags? |

Much of the reaction to the nuclear power crisis in Japan is "overblown," but the U.S. seems unlikely now to build another nuclear power plant, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Tuesday night. "My guess is, when the dust settles, it won’t be nearly as bad as some of the scare tactics we have been reading about in the past couple of days," Paul, an advocate of nuclear power, told Fox Business Network. "Nuclear power is very dangerous, but it is also the safest form of energy we have.” Thread: Doom over...Ron Paul says you guys are overreacting For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. |

Monkeyfister User ID: 1415588 United States 07/21/2011 07:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The table and diagram below, are from this very detailed breakdown of a meltdown through Bottom Head Breach: [link to www.osti.gov] It is thorough, and very easy to read and understand. (snip) It is the purpose of this paper to briefly address the events occurring after debris relocation past the core plate and to describe the subsequent expected modes of bottom head pressure boundary failure. As an example, the calculated timing of events for the unmitigated short-term station blackout severe accident sequence at the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station is also presented.
