Looks like Bakersfield was taken down. I was seeing some pretty good reading from there for a while. It seemed to be following the southern edge of the jet stream. Bakersfield - Las Vegas - Colorado - Great Lakes.

Apparantely Mr. Governor is taking their word for it and has no idea that the Reno radnet site is down. Yet another reason not to trust these politicians with your health.

Anyone know what the energy ranges 1 to 10 actually correspond to in MeV ??

Then there's this...

1 mega-electron volt (MeV) = 1 000.00 kilo-electron volts (keV)

Gamma Energy Range 10 Gross(CPM): 47 might be the more relevant one to be focusing on.

Why doesn't the EPA or NOAA just include one at every single national weather service (NWS) monitoring site, permanently and be done with it? This should have been down right after the Three Mile Island incident back in 1979.
