what about the east coast? everyone says the west coast is in danger, but wont the radiation keep going? why is it stopping at the west coast?

I am in Wisconsin and have the ability to leave for a week or so, but can't figure out if North or South is better. Anyone have any suggestions to escape this crap? A jet stream map? And, before someone says I am being "selfish", I have 4 young children and, as we know, radiation is far more dangerous for them. I simply won't risk their lives if I can avoid it...
