Financial Tsunami: Worldwide Stock Markets to Crash Monday, 21st MAR.
Tomorrow it will be 7 days since the man-made disaster started.

God created the world in 7 days and man will take just a little longer to tear it apart!

Since the nuclear crisis started last Friday in just ONE reactor the IAEA rated it a risk level 4. Since then, we now have SIX reactors in an extremely bad way; fires, explosions, rods melting, increasing exclusion zones, flights cancelled, food queues etc, etc. And yet it is still “officially” rated a risk level 4.

GET REAL!

After all that is going on – even an uneducated non-expert can see there must now be a far, far greater risk than last Friday.

We sit on the brink of a world-changing catastrophe, an apocalypse, which across the world is only now becoming clear. Once just one of the reactors is lost to an uncontrollable meltdown the whole plant is lost and thus it will only be a matter of time before all six are completely lost. The ramifications of this will be massive and on a scale not seen in human history.

The web of lies and deceit and lack of accurate information has started to unravell. Goverments across the world are starting to give more realistic advice to their own citizens advising them to leave asap. And this is only going to get worse as the true realisation unfolds. We’re seeing acts of desperation now using helicopters to cool the reactors.

But “money speaks” and already the financial markets are getting jittery to say the least (overnight the Yen reached an all-time high against the dollar). The financial markets will reveal what the “powers that be” truly know and understand about the situation.

This will start happening today, Thursday. I predict stock markets across the world will have a modest decline today of about 3-5%, but that will just be the start.

Friday will see an even bigger drop. The main financial players will not want to be in the market over the two day weekend which will be extremely high risk in the current situation. Who knows what will happen during the 2 days when the markets are closed. So there will be a lot of liquidation on Friday and the stock markets will be down heavily (5-7%). But this too is just the calm before the storm ....

Look at the other threads on GLP regarding dire predictions of another major earthquake/catastrophe on Saturday. (Jim Berkland, just one example). The impact will be unimaginable on an already precarious situation. The full horror of the perilous situation we are in will be revealed to us and our lives and civilisations will never be the same again.

When the markets open on Monday they will be in meltdown ... but that will be the least of our worries.

I hope and pray that a miracle happens and the brave people trying to bring the reactors under control manage to do so.

I truly hope the dire predictions don’t come true.

But after reading the evidence presented it seems far more than pure coincidence or nut-cases venting their theories.

What will be, will be, but we are truly in God’s hands now.

Let us pray for a miracle.

I wouldn't want to be holding stocks and shares going into the weekend.

far too risky.

never mind another EQ happening over the weekend. It's enough risk with 4 reactors melting down.burnit

Nah, the ramification is more a total blow to peacefull use of nuclear energy. Even if all 6 reactor's will melt down, the world hass seen worse catastrophies. Lot's of media hype.

Contamination will be locally contained. The atmospheric nuclear tests of the 50's produced more fallout. The death toll of Chernobyl (regarding WHO and IEAE) stands at 52 victims until today. This is one exemption I trust the numbers of these institutions. Even if it's 520 instead more people are killed in traffic accidents in a month.

Of course there could be some more panic, also on the financial markets, but I guarantee you there will be events of a whole different quality in the foreseeable future (dirty bomb in a big city for example).

Can't agree .... world seen worse catastrophies!!! not with the impact this could cause.

.... if all 6 reactors melt down the area will be uninhabitable and have to be cordoned off for generations to come. That area will be considerable in size which will have a dramatic effect locally on an island the size of Japan ... never mind the knock on effects around the world.

Because Japan can't afford to keep dumping billions of yen into the stock market and recover from the disaster that is going on.

The uninhabited zone around Chernobyl is 30 km in diameter. Let's say the worst (full meltdown) occurs, it will be 60 km in diameter. Japan is a litte bit larger I suppose. And btw the Chernobyl reactor exploded literally and radioactive graphite was catapulted out of the reactor through the roof (not in Japan). The imagination of Japan, or even parts of the world will be contaminated is just silly panic speak with very little common sense.

You're very optimistic considering the reality of what is unfolding before your eyes ... and very trusting that what the IAEA and Japanese Officials are telling you is remotely true, but even that aside.....

Japan does not have the land mass of Russia and is already very densely populated. The impact of a permanent exclusion zone on the North island will be far far bigger than the consequences on Russia.

Chernobyl was real with or without media hype. The consequences are still felt to this day in Russia and beyond and we can do without something similar (or bigger) happening in Japan.

To this day, there are parts of the UK that farmers cannot sell meet from sheep/cows due to the radiation and orders preventing them from doing so.

No wonders you if you dont know how to use google...

The new data, based on Belarus national cancer statistics, predictsapproximately 270,000 cancers and 93,000 fatal cancer cases caused byChernobyl. The report also concludes that on the basis of demographicdata, during the last 15 years, 60,000 people have additionally died inRussia because of the Chernobyl accident, and estimates of the totaldeath toll for the Ukraine and Belarus could reach another 140,000.
[link to www.greenpeace.org]

New Book Concludes - Chernobyl death toll: 985,000, mostly from cancer
[link to www.globalresearch.ca]

Using conservative methodology, I estimate the eventualdeath toll from the Chernobyl disaster will be:
- 253 due to direct radiation damage
- 904,763 to 1,809,515 due to fatal cancers or
- 905,016 to 1,809,768 in total

Greenpeace. LoL. I was expecting that. There "estimates" based on ....nothing.

Health of plant workers and local people

In the aftermath of the accident, 237 people suffered from acute radiation sickness, of whom 31 died within the first three months.[63][64] Most of these were fire and rescue workers trying to bring the accident under control, who were not fully aware of how dangerous exposure to the radiation in the smoke was. Whereas, the World Health Organization's report 2006 Report of the Chernobyl Forum Expert Group from the 237 emergency workers who were diagnosed with ARS, ARS was identified as the cause of death for 28 of these people within the first few months after the disaster. There were no further deaths identified, in the general population affected by the disaster, as being caused by ARS. Of the 72,000 Russian Emergency Workers being studied, 216 non-cancer deaths are attributed to the disaster, between 1991 and 1998. The latency period for solid cancers caused by excess radiation exposure is 10 or more years; thus at the time of the WHO report being undertaken, the rates of solid cancer deaths were no greater than the general population. Some 135,000 people were evacuated from the area, including 50,000 from Pripyat.

As I am open to everthing I read the global research article (a website I also visit from time to time). The book with the 960.000 estimate cites for example a cancer growth rate of 40% qoute: "For the period 1900-2000 cancer mortality in Belarus increased 40%"

This is far beyond ridiculous. What a time frame, 1900 to 2000, otherwise they were not able to present a big number I guess. And usually you cite growth rates per annum in statistics. You know the cancer growth rate in USA from 1900 to 2000 (not p.a.? Maybe its 50%. When I read such silly attempts to back up a thesis, I know it's BS.

Contrary to you I present facts and analyse so called "statistics" instead of name calling. Which tells me that you are not very intelligent nor has any background in statistics.
Your last post is actually normal behaviour for someone who can't argue with logic and arguments.

What statistics did you present? You quoted a wikipedia article. In that article its obvious they only considered the people directly involved in the incident.

Lets start with the logic:

Most of these were fire and rescue workers trying to bring the accident under control, who were not fully aware of how dangerous exposure to the radiation in the smoke was.
 Quoting: Hacko 1300733

ARS is Acute Radiation Syndrome. Your "statistic" only counts people with ARS but leaves out all other people who got radiated less, but still grew cancer or died of other radiation related long term causes.

Of the 72,000 Russian Emergency Workers being studied, 216 non-cancer deaths are attributed to the disaster, between 1991 and 1998.

What about cancer related deaths?

Now who is stupid and fails logic?

So go grab your watering pot, its all fun n games

"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Why don't u quote the next sentence in the wikipedia article:
"The latency period for solid cancers caused by excess radiation exposure is 10 or more years; thus at the time of the WHO report being undertaken, the rates of solid cancer deaths were no greater than the general population."

And now we have these parties who claim there were 100's of thousands of chernobyl related cancer deaths. And where is their proof for that thesis?
I seems in theri desparation all they come up with is "from 1900 to 2000 cancer grew by 40% in Belarus." I ask you: How weak is that?

Dude, i can't believe you are this ignorant. Really. Thats why i believe you must be stupid.
According to your argument, the statistical proven raise in leukamia and breast cancer within 5 kilometers around nuclear power plants IN GERMANY does not exist.
Or it is not related to the radiation.

Then what causes it? Nibiru? UFOs? Maybe the rotation of the earth? CMEs? Your farts maybe?

But its ok, people tend to refuse to believe things they find scary.

Interesting back and forth here, hope things don't slip into name-calling. Ya know, I think OP has some good points, and what's more, we'll be finding out pretty soon about today's markets.

I would say, however, that regardless of what happened in the aftermath of Chernobyl, it's the market's PERCEPTION of what might happen in the present situation that will prove decisive, not how many kids are scheduled for leukemia. Also, Chernobyl was a bolt out of the blue, and the Soviet's bungled response, largely due to their paranoid need for secrecy and their cumbersome command and decision-making structure, made things a lot worse. They didn't even admit there was a meltdown for the first few days, as I remember.
