2001: A Space Odyssey

With the House voting again to reject immediate Withdrawal from Afghanistan...



I've been pondering the meaning of an old story I saw on either CBS, NBC or ABC Evening News showing a Taliban training camp in the Western Mountains of Pakistan.


When the news team arrived in the abandoned Guerilla site, the camp turned out to contain nothing more than a set of PLAYGROUND MONKEE BARS!!


I had an epiphany today after reading the story linked below, and thinking about the movie 2001: A space Odyssey, can now draw some resasonable conjectures about the world we live in


2001: A Space Odyssey and the events of 2001 that marked a Turning Point in America, WTC and the WARS in AFGHANISTAN and IRAQ, represent the missing chapters of Arthur C. Clarke's and Stanley Kubrick's vision linking the past, present and future.



The seminal Scene of 2001 is the discovery by Apes, that Sticks can be used as Weapons to Destroy their enemies.
We witness the first battle between the clans, when the rampage instills a Sadistic pleasure in the victorious Ape.


In the next section of the movie's Triptych, set in 2001, a marauding machine, HAL, is the new ape. The trappings of modern civilization cannot disguise the fact that 'something is 'out to get us'.




In the final scene of 2001, man must die and be reborn into a 'better' world. The movie gives no hint of what kind of world the baby will grow up in. More to the point, this bleak vision lets the astronaut die before improvements are made to the Earth. This Christian Doctrine amounts to a false teaching, used by monkees to trick man.




With today's vote, March 17, 2011, we are reminded that
our world, at its core, is still a Savage World where the CLOTHED ANTHROPOID-MECHS still pillage, destroy and MURDER FOR PLEASURE.





I am sorry that the 321 'APES' who voted against withdrawal from Afhanistan are still wrapped up in a Stone Age Existence.


Obviously, the present Government, as Rep. Ron Paul, points out , could have solved the Budget Crisis and saved HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of dollars by Withdrawing the Fighters.
I thak Rep. Kucinich for showing resolve and courage by bringing the measure up.




I heard a Sebastian Junger lecture, broadcast on NPR, last week, where he describes an ECSTASY which amounts to an ADDICTION TO FIGHTING.
