I've been through this recently. Family members who don't have the time to come by and help. No one around to wipe the crap off the loved one's ass. No one around to help fix their food. No one around to take them to doctor appointments. No one around to make sense out of or help pay the bills from multiple stays in the hospital.

What they do have time for is to make quick calls once in a while when it is convenient for them and tell you want they expect you to do without no clue as to what is going on.

Then when the end comes they come out of the woodwork to show how "compassionate" they are and what a monster you are.
