Check out these amazing pics of the moon tonight. The first one is my favorite....gorgeous! [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Those are wonderful, and thanks for posting them, Madigan. I just checked outside. We have a lot of cloud cover, but the moon is so bright I can see it through the clouds! I wish it was as clear as it was two nights ago. We had a partly clear night, and a good view of the moon -- of course it wasn't completely full then. No problem! The clouds parted just in time for me to see it rise. Very bright! And HUGE. |

Interestingly enough, Port Hardy was one of the communities affected by the post-Japan tsunami warnings. You bet, take care out there |

We have an African Gray and a Blue Gold Macaw. I have two cockatiels, both adopted. I took them in because no one wanted them. I had one before and I loved her to death. After she died I adopted these two. My birds started flapping their wings and hissing. Very similar to a night fright and woke us up. We listened and said it must have been an tremor. We woke up in the morning and found out there was an earthquake in Seattle that was felt in Vancouver. |

I was attributing it to the big full moon. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 931097My birds were acting weird too...they were making noises and chirping...then I gave them a piece of lettuce and that shut them up...so I think were good lol |

Normally I would have sort of but no biggie: however, the previous night, just before sunset, I swear the clouds to the right of the moon were looking hella similar to earth quake clouds. Yes, both faults. He didn't predict a specific one. Just that he believed the west coast faults were next. |
