Florida...strange earthquake...20 mins.... What the hell was it!

I'm sorry, but that didn't sound like an earthquake. It really did sound like a rushing river. Pretty scary.

First Coast News has received several calls, as has the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, about two tremors felt this morning around 9:30.

PALM COAST, Fla. -- Investigators are trying to solve a bizarre mystery in Flagler County. A wave of people called 911 around 9:30am Friday to report the ground shaking in Flagler County. The calls all came from the Hammock area of Palm Coast (see map).

However, people in the north Daytona area, as well as in Deltona and as far north as St. Augustine, said they felt it as well. Many people were worried that the shaking was an earthquake.

The Emergency Management Office was on the phone all day trying to figure out the cause of the shaking. Residents said that buildings were shaking, and even a dispatcher in the county felt it happen.

The U.S. Geological Survey told Flagler County that sensors in Georgia and Orlando picked up no movement. The National Weather Service reported nothing odd, and the Navy and Coast Guard told WFTV they had no information regarding on or offshore bombing exercises.

"We are checking with all the agencies that monitor those kinds of things and hopefully we'll come up with an answer, but right now, we're kind of perplexed," an official told WFTV.

Everything, from a meteor burning up to a moon phase that allows ocean waves to hit hard enough to vibrate the shoreline, is being considered as a cause.

Under florida are numerous caverns. As the new madrid fault gets ready to blow, air and water is pushed up thru the caverns, making weird rumbling sounds.

Another major problem is you sit on a huge methane glacier that bp drilled into. When the oil came out, seawater rushed in at some other places. And that is dissolving the surrounding minerals from the earth that kept the glacier safe.
Now it is reacting chemically, and probably breaking apart. That can also cause the noises you heard. Because some of it will come to the surface thru the caverns.

My two cents...

The sound really seems like a river.

But, we had to know from the from any geology department around IF there´s any underground river near there.
Why?
Because if is flowing with more water than it used to have, means that the water came from somewhere else... thus, somewhere else will lack pressure to sustain the soil and will eventually collapse... or, cause erosion in the area... causing what we see as "huge holes in the ground that swallow villages and lakes".

That was a precurser to an earthquake.....the New Madrid fault is getting ready to go.....and something in the Gulf is building as well...this is what is going to cause the US to split in half. They messed with the Gulf last year and they are finishing everything off...oh by the way, did you see the tree demon in the video? Not good.

There no earthquake here.

You may not want to believe this but it was just a jet engine most likely at full throtle for testing purpose or an accidental thrust problem, did sound cool though.
