Are you guessing, or is this what we would expect to see in a full meltdown? I can't make top nor tail of this friggin situation. One minute it's blowing, the next minute the PM is on saying it's under control. The IAEA said they feared total destruction or whatever, and then turned around and said it was all just a hunch or whatever.

I just wish this whole site was buried already. But then, their other sites are all going buggy too, aren't they? Jesus, we might really get screwed by this.

The earlier reports was that the pressure was building in 3 and that they were maybe going to vent more radioactive steam. Don't know if that happened or not but this new development certainly isn't good. The thing is a rubble pile and has been doused with seawater permanently destroying it full meltdown has to be happening.

They've been saying since last night that the pressure in #3 was too high but for whatever reason they wouldn't vent. They wanted to vent through water to minimize the fallout. but hadn't been able to, coupled with the wind direction they've been avoiding it

Grayish smoke was seen billowing from a building that houses the No. 3 reactor of the troubled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station on Monday, plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. said.

After the smoke was spotted at the southeast of the building around 3:55 p.m., TEPCO said it had temporarily evacuated its workers from the site as it assessed the situation.

There's going to inevitably be more fires. It's like having a white hot lump of coal. It' doesn't cool off to room temp because you throw water on it.

according to the spanish press this latest incident is more serious than the other ones because the nuclear fuel has degraded more. Remember GRAY smoke no white due to radioactive steam Gray. Iodine, xenon and kripton among other released to the atmosphere.

some bs and then some lies. black smoke and grey smoke. no rise in radiation readings.. smoke is decreased but still coming out. don't know what it is.. power not hooked to 3 yet ,so not the cause..cause unknown.. [link to www.ustream.tv]
