my point is that I was always a moon gazer growing up in the States (US). and the big white crater was always towards the bottom, never towards the right as it appears today for us.
I always tried looking for the man in the moon, and remember that with the big white crater towards the bottom, the face with the two big dark craters towards the top better support the eyes of the face than what we see today. where's the man in the moon in today's moon?
I've also never seen the crescents in the moon like what I've seen recently either. They've never been towards the bottom, always left or right. Maybe when we do start to see the bottom crescents, it's the signs of the times like with the chesire cat...when you see it, you're now starting to tumble down the rabbit hole...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1333268Yes, I do believe something has shifted.. Also explains why we now see a Cheshire Moon(smiling moon) in the Northern Hemisphere all year long now.. You used to only see the Cheshire Moon in the Northern Hemisphere during the winter months.. It happens every new moon these days..
