The Gate to your Subconscious Mind
I dont claim to know how all this work, but for some people, this may be what they are looking for, as a simple explanation:

The Gate to your Subconscious Mind

Okay guys so I have found and opened "The Gates to my Subconscious mind". I have tapped into it a couple of days now, experiencing a few things - and now I know how to consciously achieve this state of mind (in awake state).

The awesome aspect of drifting inwards (cus thats exactly what you do) towards "The Gates of your Subconscious Mind" is the anticipation and wonderment of: WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! Anything can happen. You can make this a journey with no predefined destination - or you can have "a focus", a thought, a person, a place, an object or a diety, that will direct your journey.

The "focus" is simply to dwell upon - and hold in your mind, while you relax your way inwards towards "The Gate to your Subconscious mind". Gently hold the focus, of (ex)a person. See that person in your minds eye and hold it there while you relax your way inwards.

Relax, relax, relax... remember youre almost going to fall asleep, but just almost:)

It's like relaxing before falling asleep, only you are holding the focus since you don't want to fall asleep - but remain conscious, drifting inwards one step at the time. Simply think about something, hold that thought - or simply be aware of yourself becoming more and more relaxed, while you pay attention to what happens in your minds eye.

You know you are about to reach "The Gates of your Subconscious Mind" when images starts to appear from nowhere inside your minds eye. This is where you gently observe the images, one by one as they pass by (think about them, but dont try to direct them). Do not try to overanalyse, just observe and stay conscious.

I have been experiementing achieving this special state of mind the last few days, and I have already had a few experiences. The more you practice, the better you will get at both reaching this state of mind - and holding it. The first time you experiment with reaching your subconscious mind, you may fall asleep, next time you may only see images, next time again - you may have a little trip around, then wake up because you get over exited at what you see!

There is absolutely nothing dangerous about achieving a connection with your subconscious mind. Remember this is YOU - you are safe all the way! And by the way, you already have always had an UNCONSCIOUS connection to it. The only difference now is, you want to experience in consciously. It's a whole new world:)

There are COUNTLESS possibilities within the subconscious state of mind - and you never really know what's going to happen, so I have found out that it most probably is best to have some kind of THEME for your journey. For this indeed is a journey - and I will explain what I know until now. You may see images, or soar around like an eagle. You may visit places you've never seen before, space, other planets - or have interactions with people you know or dont know. You may also have interactions with YOURSELF. You may solve your own psychological issues;) In your subconscious mind, nothing is shameful. It seeks to heal you.

Why can you visit other places? Because you are HUGE. Actually you are everything. Your spirit never ends - remember the oness concept - you are ONE with everything)

Lucid dreaming also occurs here - but when lucid dreaming occurs in this process you have probably been a little too tired, so you actually get deeper into your subconscious than inteded. The lucid state of experience (I think) lays somewhere between the fully conscious state of being - and the total dream state. There are stages of lucid dreaming, from fully conscious to less conscious, where you only partially control the dream. You may also "let the dream guide you" while lucid dreaming. That is fun and adventurous.

You can bring the lucid state of dreaming almost to the surface of awake state, and drop back into it again. I know this may sound greek to some of you, but you will start to recognize the stages of entering into - and diving in your subconscious mind as you go. Practice makes perfect remember:)

If you thought reaching "The Gate of your Subconscious Mind" is hard - think again, it is the easiest thing ever!(you just need to find the "how")

However, you may fall aslep if you are too tired. If you are comfortable and not overly awake, you may have very clear journeys in your own sunconscious mind. However, if you are too awake - reaching "The Gate of your Subconscious mind" may be harder - due to the disturbances of your own throughts and sounds from outside of yourself. I am not saying it will be impossible, I think it's more a matter of relaxed focus. (not concentration)

Ultimately, I have a dream of being able to reach this state of mind merely by taking a few deep breaths! WOW that would indeed be something else :))

Again, this is my own experiences, so take it if it makes sense, or leave it if it does not mean anything to you:)

Hugs all!

I dont have a feeling of leaving the body when I do this - (i know how leaving the body feels like)

I feel more like having a 360 degree conscious experience of other places, and myself. I feel perfectly safe. I can best describe it as soaring through MYSELF! and being connected to all things.

I love doing this.
I see all sorts of full color images and people.
Sometimes i hear conversations about things I have no understanding of.
A couple of times the person I'm seeing has acknowledged my presence. One was a girl with long blond hair looking out a window. She turned and looked at me and said "This is where it happened." I asked "what" and she faded away.
Another looked like a British soldier from decades ago--maybe in India. He looked at me and motioned for me to come there. I tried. but he was gone.
Is this astral projection? I can normally telling when I'm "traveling" and it didn't feel like it.

Cool experiences.
Sounds like 'day' dreaming as opposed to 'night' dreaming.
I think the girl was trying to show you something that happened in the past (perhaps a past life) to help you heal some issue that you have now because of it.
I don't know but hypnotherapy might be good if you can afford it.
Or just keep on doing this.

Hellohf

I have always thought of astral projection as going "out there", Like an Out of Body Experience.

I would rather like to call this "SOUL TRAVELLING" - I think we mix the terms up a bit. And I think we not fully understand what our "subconscious (soul) " is.

When accessing the "subconscious" I think we are "soul travelling" We have heard that we are ONE with everything and anything - I believe this to be true. But to acces this oneness, we travel within ourselves and thus become one with everything that has ever been and ever will be - and everything around us on a very esoteric level.

When we travel within, we break the concept of "time" and experience this "soul travel" as one big NOW. Hence the ability to visit far away places, past lives, our own deepest secrets, the future etc.

Re: The Gate to your Subconscious Mind
Also... an Out of Body Experience, seem to be very "limited" in the sense that you do not have complete control - and you do not get to explore past the 3rd/4rth dimension. You can explore different timeframes yes, but all of this is sort of "outside of yourself".

Maybe this is the reason why many people talk about "meeting bad spirits", because then they actually access their territory. But our soul and our subconscious is far more esoteric and dimentionally higher than that.

its vital again now

sometime i ask, what a hell, who wants to know this kind of information when i am driving.. my soul ? ..there are moments where i think souls intervene and there are moments where theys know how i behave, so i believe in some sort of placed checkpoints on our paths
not definitely set, but as if inviting needed lessons (mostly morals teachings)

hihf

I am sorry, english is not my native language so I can understand if something is unclear. To gently hold the focus:

(gently hold the focus):

Imagine you are sitting there with your eyes closed and you are meditating about a person. Someone you love or someone you feel good about. Imagine you let the image of that person stay in your daydream or in your mind. "gently" without strain exploring their features, color of hair, eyes clothing etc. As if you're meditating upon them, yet not pushing anything to happen. Observing.

Who?: It can be anyone you wish to explore more about, their connection to you. Having a theme for your journey within helps you "direct" the experiences you are going to have.

I hope this helps.

I just though i'd share my new found experiences. Maybe someone out there are in need of a deeper connection to themselves, I know I have been and it is truly a blessing to be allowed to withdraw, within - and to re-discover the peace and the tranquility inside, that we are meant to be.

Very nice. One way to add the process, after the deep breaths, is to close the eyes and imagine that they are so relaxed that they just wont work. This will do a very important thing and that is, bypass the critical factor of the mind.

You wil remain conscious and yet uncritical of the process. And because the eyes tell the body what to do, when they are locked closed, the body receives a message to relax... Fast.

Might add the the adventure.

Beautiful work/play!

Luckily it's not just imagination:) There is a huge world in there ready to be explored. This is merely a guidance on how to approach the "gates" to that world.

Re: The Gate to your Subconscious Mind
So you're talking about the clear hypnogogic images which come just before you sleep or astral project? That stage is normally just seen as a transition into some other state, so exploring it for its own merits seems a good idea. I think you're right about it being a window into the subconscious.

I use a similar method for astral projection/phasing. It's a difficult balance to achieve, not too tired, not too awake, but I llke your idea of concentrating on a person to focus your awareness. Will give it a try...

What I think is important to remember, is that this state of mind is a natural state within you, and the more you explore the more you understand about it.

Focusing upon a person is merely one of many ways of creating some sort of direction for your journey. You can also focus on a place you would like to visit, a personal issue, etc, or have no direction at all - just let your subconscious lead you where you need to go.

I had that happen, I let my subconscious lead me, and I solved a personal issue that way. I "met" the problem, and was able to gently correct it while being in a lucid state :)
