Haven't heard anything from him. I talked to his son though yesterday late afternoon and he said his dad has been spending all his hours @ work, 16+ hour days.
this explains why he hasn't been back to our restaurant for lunch.

here's the thing, a part of Japan will most likely sink at some point with all these aftershocks and most likely it will be the manmade soil part of it, question is will it cause a mega tsunami, will it cause more parts of Japan to sink?

I don't think you mentioned that in your original posting, OP. I also did not see it clarified in any subsequent posting, though I may have missed that.

Did he say that some deep inside government source had confided to the Hawaiian Civil Defense people that this was going to happen? Did he provide to you a confidence level or indicate when it was going to take place?

Is it possible that he told you that they had been informed that there was a risk that this could happen but that no one in the government or elsewhere was sure just precisely how great this risk was?

Yea, I've seen it, I think that's why it's so creepy. I had nightmares the first time I saw that. It's just weird, and it's hard to explain why it is so freaky and gross and nightmare status...
