Who is God?
In the hebrew scriptures, read Genesis 1:1 to 2:4 is written the story of Elohim. In hebrew, Elohim is plural for Gods.
The Gods created all and blessed all and it was good. Then, the Gods rested.
From Genesis 2:4 onward, we read of a new player called yhvh. This new 'god' makes a new creation called adam, in hebrew this word means 'red clay' and a woman is created from his rib. This new 'god' has all kinds of rules and regulations. Talking snakes, evil tree of death, brother killing brother,angels with swords and culminated in absolute horror for mankind in the book of Revelation.
Why did the pastor not tell you about this?
Go ahead, I dare you. Take about 15 minutes and read it for yourselves. Genesis 1 to 2:4. Then asky why they started a whole new scenario in the middle of a chapter. This ought to set off the alarm. Trying to confuse you.
If in Genesis 1 to 2:4, the Elohim or Gods created everything and it was Good, who is this yhvh to make it all hell on earth. He has some really nasty punishment for you if you do not subscribe to him as the absolute. Not only will he torment you forever, but if you should die, he will 'resurrect' you from the dead and persecute you some more. Who is this character
Now, please do not go spouting scripture coming out from Genesis 2:4. Let's work with Genesis 1 to 2:4, first. Of course, we all love Jesus, but hes is not an issue here.
