What will happen to the people who did not voluntarily turn their Liberty dollars in to the Feds?

Good luck trying to sell them!

There is no law against private money in the USA (so long as you aren't trying to counterfeit actual US dollars). This is intimidation. The law says US currency is to be used for DEBTS public and private. This is to make the debt/bond market stable and attractive to foreign investors. No one has to accept US dollars/coins at the retail level. Retail sales are a contract. The contract can be for two things of value.

This story is getting play EVERYWHERE.

I think we may have our tipping point.

Fuck 'em. They want to call us Domestic Terrorists for simply trying to save our families from the famine and poverty that is right over the next hill.

I say "Fine, call me a Terrorist. If that's my yellow star, I'll wear it with pride."

I feel so much safer knowing this monster can't terrorize our children anymore. Obama should invoke his indefinate detention for this beast! I think we can all rest better at night knowing our fake FRN have the monopoly on valueless paper again...

this is what pissed me off the most about this whole thing:

“We are determined to meet these threats through infiltration, disruption and dismantling of organizations which seek to challenge the legitimacy of our democratic form of government,” Tompkins said.

Re: Guy who put Ron Paul's face on his own minted coins convicted of "domestic terrorism," could get 15 years
US Justice Department logic: Bernanke is a domestic terrorist

The United States Department of Justice delivered a very clear and unfortunate message on Friday:

“Attempts to undermine the legitimate currency of this country are simply a unique form of domestic terrorism. While these forms of anti-government activities do not involve violence, they are every bit as insidious and represent a clear and present danger to the economic stability of this country.”

These remarks were released by the US Attorney’s office in the western district of North Carolina following the conviction of one Bernard von NotHaus, the creator of the ill-fated Liberty Dollar.

As you likely recall from a few years ago, Liberty Dollars were privately minted gold and silver rounds. Paper certificates, akin to warehouse receipts were also issued, effectively giving the bearer a right to claim a certain amount of gold or silver at the group’s warehouse in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

This is traditionally how the system of money used to function– precious metals would be stored in private, secure storage facilities, and paper certificates were issued as a medium of exchange that entitled the bearer to redeem metal from the vault. Liberty Dollars represented a return to that system.

Clearly, the Justice Department feels otherwise… instead viewing these silver rounds as an attempt by terrorists to undermine the US dollar.

Interesting choice of words. Undermine? “verb [transitive]. to erode the base or foundation of something. to damage or weaken, especially gradually. ”

I have reported this crime to the FBI and Police and they have refused to investigate yet this guys prints a few coins and is sitting in prison for 15 years? EXPLAIN PLEASE! And if you know a reported who would be interested in my story, it is not bullshit!!! It is fully documented on court record! No more blood in the name of a freedom that doesn't exist!!!

We have to do something...it is time to stand and fight! I can prove my daughter's trial was fixed. The Feds actually told me to "never contact them again." I believe this is because my daughter's case went all the way to the Supreme Court in Oregon and many judges in Oregon are helping to cover up a crime! I need a good reporter to help me...this is all documented on court record. Including the fact that I was illegally appointed my own child"s Guardian ad Litem...(which i did not discover until recently.) The system in completely broken and this needs to be exposed and discussed!

"Von NotHaus used the Liberty Dollars in lieu of actual minted US coins and was found guilty on several charges stemming from making, processing, and using the imitation coins, the FBI said. He also was charged with conspiracy against the United States. "

This is technically the crime that he committed. You can't issue coins which are attempting to imitate U.S. currency

"The FBI claims that NOFRED “intended for the Liberty Dollar to be used as current money in order to limit reliance on, and to compete with, United States currency.”"

It is NOT illegal to create a competing currency. However, this is the real reason they charged him and brought him down

"“While these forms of anti-government activities do not involve violence, they are every bit as insidious and represent a clear and present danger to the economic stability of this country,” said US Attorney Anne M. Tompkins."

This is a completely spurious argument
