Has anyone else been randomly remembering old dreams lately?

YES! I have... it is soooo strange! This has been happening
very frequently the last 2-3 weeks! It is just as you say:
these old random dreams just pop in...in vivid detail.
A few of them are about strange events, but others are just
random places.

No.

But whenever I lay down on my bed, I get psychic echoes of the dreams I had the night before. I can never remember my dreams anymore, I just get those whisps of memories that are gone in a flash when I try to capture them.

YES! as a matter of fact.

It happened just last night.. and the dream was so familiar it blew my mind that I had never remember the series of dreams before. The old house.. so familiar, gutted in the upstairs with water pouring out everywhere! Big gaping holes with plastic sheeting over them to try and keep the rain out.

A real money pit of a disaster.. I've dreamed of it so many times and wasn't aware while awake until last night.

I have to funnily enough. Dreams have been coming back to me, ones I had when I was a child.
Very Odd...

Is this a sign that we are going crazy? I'm kind of serious. Most times I have trouble remembering last nights dream, now I can recall dreams from years past. This has never happened to me before.

Holy shit just reading about your dream made me recall yet another dream with a similar theme.

Have any of you been having dreams with themes of intense panic (often manifesting in a lucid dream) or feeling the need to gather items and hurry somewhere, and you never quite feel as if you have everything? Feeling that something is missing, and you keep going to look for it, taking a high risk, because the panic feels intense?

I call this phenomenon "full spontaneous recall." I have observed it for many years... Your spirit will receive and view many dream about an important issue in the future.

When that issue/event is soon approaching, those dreams will come to the fore. You will automatically see them and remember them. This happens even for dreams you completely forgot and never wrote down.

This is a spiritual function which reminds you of what is coming.

What is coming is a big, big war which will destroy the United States. She will never recover to her former glory.

It is time for all who are denying God to make a decision: in or out.

We all must forgive every other person who has ever wronged us, or someone we love. We can hold NO unforgiveness against others.

I remember dreams from when I was very young

They come back all the time

I always thought it was just neurons firing

For people without God, or who think they have God because of a "sinner's prayer" and nothing else... this feeling of "some thing missing" or "feeling behind somehow" is very, very common.

To overcome the panic problem, tell it to go. Say something like, "Panic, i don't want you. Go away from me, and do not return." It must go. but, every dark force makes an attempt to return. Each time it attempts to take hold of you, repeat your command.

And the ones that I've been recalling have had very specific meanings relevant to what I've been experiencing...

I still remember dreams from when I was a child and always have vivid dreams. Lately all I am seeing in Dreams are many floods and huge waves....had these same dreams before the Tsunami

It has been a random, haphazard and rare event where dreams just come to me in memory. It just happened today, and mysubsequent search into the phenomenon is what brought me to your webpage...I will also check with Google scholar for any scientific articles. It would be great to see some posted here, or at least source pages to them.

"Remembering dreams" seems to be quite a different psychological dynamic than actual dreaming, and I am wondering what the scientific/psychologial reasons behind it are. It would be quite interesting if scientists gathered a group of people who "remember their dreams" and conduct medical/scientific testing on any functional variances between brain waves and synapses firing, as well as any EEG brain wave differentials.

It would be great if you could research and post this from universities and other resources who might have results about this phenomenon, especially since there are so many respondents here.

I have been having these memories too.

Looking at old abandoned houses for a new home, big waves, people looking out for danger, community of displaced people living on a ridge line.

I can be going about normal daily business and have been recalling about 5 or 6 a day.

You can tell them that, you remember when it was a pitch black sky, with no bright star, and people feared the night. You can tell them when we were alone, when we couldn't point to the light and say "There is life out there."

Someday the children of the new sun will meet the children of the old.

You can tell your children of the day when everyone looked up and realized that we were only tenants of this world. We were given a new lease, and a warning, from the landlord.

This only happened once to me.. I had this vivid dream when I was around 5 years old of flying on the back of a giant eagle. I was still remembering it when I was in my 20s so one day I started to ask God what was this dream about and why I was remembering such a dream from a young age. Then it hit me, it was a promise of Psalm 91, that he would raise me up.. The meaning hit me when I was in church one day and the song "one eagles wings" started playing. Before that I never knew that passage from the Bible. Maybe it's the same thing for you; God speaking through dreams? Usually if he has something important to tell us, he does not let us forget.
