Eight quakes there today. It was like this prior to the 9.0 in Japan

No - a 3.3 after a set of swarms is NOT typical activity in Arkansas.

Re: Breaking - 3.3 Quake in Arkansas
I have a theory that earthquakes in Arkansas are somehow related to the ones in Japan.

Arkansas almost sits in the exact middle (New Madrid too) of the distance from the edge of the Western edge of Pacific plate and the Eastern edge of the Caribbean and African plates.

Perhaps as the Pacific plate dives and pulls North America with it, the New Madrid is stressed. Earthquakes erupt as it releases (or prior to a big one on the Pacific plate), then the Caribbean and African plates expand to fill the space, causing quakes along the mid Atlantic ridge?

I dunno.

The Arkansas swarm has been going on for six months or so now. A 3.3 is a walk in the park for that area considering all the 3.5-4.7 quakes that have struck.

Yep, and those quakes struck before the 9.0 in Japan. This is more than coincidence I think. Platetectonics at work and related.

Re: Breaking - 3.3 Quake in Arkansas
I don't buy fracking as the cause. Underwater body bags, food rations for a quakes and flood in the New Madrid zone? The PTB know something and aren't telling the rest of us.

EQ activity has been very, very strange lately and is picking up in frequency all over the Earth, and in places not known to have them often.

If you look at the EQ history in Arkansas, prior to 3/9, there were swarms of EQ's. When the 7.2 hit off Honshou, there was a 3.5 that very day in Arkansas.

Then on 3/11, there was only 1 EQ reported in Arkansas, after months of swarming. I don't think it is coincidence and these two locations are somehow linked.

This position in Arkansas sits almost in the middle of the distance between Western edge of the Pacific plate and the Eastern edge of the Caribbean plate.

The New Madrid sits almost in the middle of the North American plate, which is pulled from one side and pushed from the other. I think this fault is somehow an indicator of activity of either the Pacific or Caribbean plates and its activity is directly related to what we see happening in either area I mentioned above. There have been many quakes in Japan as you know and now it seems the mid Atlantic ridge is acting up, with 3 EQ's today over 5, with 1 over 6 - all nearly in a straight line along the ridge.
