Yeah, that sums it up. Car wheel kept going. No one injured. EVERYONE faught with everyone else- police, tow truck, tire shop owner.... Tired of it all- ask me a question.

My father changed them, so, he probably isn't trying to kill me, but, apparently these stupid expensive rims have to be torqued after 50 miles? WTF?

When I first started driving years ago I had owned two consecutive beater station wagons in which one of the rear wheels slid off the axle - both times I was just getting on to a parkway and hadn't reached parkway speed yet, but it was scarey as hell to contemplate what might have happened!

Anytime you remove the wheel from a vehicle, you are supposed to re-tighten and check the torque after 50 miles. That's standard.
